Abdul Rehman is an unemployed villager who migrated to a bigger city in the hopes of finding a job to support his family. Before moving to a big city, Abdul Rehman lived a comfortable life with his family in his village where he and his father worked as farmers. Due to financial struggles, Abdul Rehman had to take the financial burden on himself and move to Lahore in order to find a job so he could support his family.
Will to Survive is a documentary that attempts to give a glimpse in the life of an ordinary man fighting to make ends meet. In third world countries, economic struggles take a toll on majority of the population, whether it is financial, physical or mental health. Coming from a middle class background, Abdul Rehman faces the same struggles as every other man in his country, and many countries alike, go through. The documentary takes this common factor and struggles amongst all lower and middle class citizens and tries to highlight it through Abdul Rehman’s journey.
